This was my cute little v-day spread from Jules (and Gordon apparently! hehehe)
Not everything is totally visible in the picture, so here is what I got; Hershy’s kisses on an adorable pink heart shaped plate, hot cinnamon hearts, lots of cute undies from La Senza AND the Charlie Brown Valentine’s special. Now you may think it’s silly that I’m so excited about a Charlie Brown DVD, but it’s very dear to my heart! Jules and I call each other “my sweet babboo” which is what Charlie Brown’s sister calls Linus (who she totally loves!) .. it has since been shortened to “babboo” and then eventually just “bub” lol!!
I had to work nights on V-day, so this is the picture I received in my inbox at work that night hehe!!

Taco Bake
Julie made an awesome taco bake using this recipe from allrecipes.com. This was the first one that we made, but we have since made a few changes. We use marble cheese and instead of using the diced tomatoes and chillies, we mix refried beans with chillies in with the ground beef mix. We also use green olives instead of black olives (if we use them at all). We also put sour cream on the side instead of mixing it in with the beef. Yum yum! Give it a try!
Neat Thrift Store Find
Check out this James Dean picture that Jules and I found at a local thrift store (St. Vincent De Paul in Westboro- if you’re in Ottawa, check it out!)
It’s actually pretty big, about 16×20 and wood mounted. And it was only $2.00!!

The Best Cup in the WORLD!
Maybe this is silly, but I have this plastic cup that I absolutely love!
This is MY designated cup and everyone knows not to use it. I drink everything out of this special cup EXCEPT for milk (that must be in a GLASS glass lol.)
I just love everything about this cup. It holds exactly the right amount of drink, it’s a nice shape (round, slightly tapered) and has a super cute design on it. All in all I love my cup
Bucket Skirt and Matching Collar for Gracie
Here is a fun little project I did a few months ago.
I took a reversable bucket hat (that I had in my closet for many years!) and made it into a skirt for Gracie!
I separated the two sides and made them into the floral layer and solid pink layer shown. I frayed the edges on the solid pink layer and added a cute polka dot band around the waist (made from a super cute shoelace!) It’s fastened with Velcro I also used a shoelace from the same package to cover one of her old collars to match with the skirt!
The skirt is slipping down a little in this picture, I altered it a bit afterwards so that it was a little tighter for her
Fun with salt dough!
I was looking for something to do and stumbled on this salt dough recipe on craftbits.com. Soooo simple! And the creative possibilities are endless! I made some basic shapes, picked up some unfinished wood shadow boxes from the dollar store and then pained everything with with acrylic paint. Annndddd Voila!!
