Taco Bake

Julie made an awesome taco bake using this recipe from allrecipes.com. This was the first one that we made, but we have since made a few changes. We use marble cheese and instead of using the diced tomatoes and chillies, we mix refried beans with chillies in with the ground beef mix. We also use green olives instead of black olives (if we use them at all).  We also put sour cream on the side instead of mixing it in with the beef.  Yum yum! Give it a try!

The Best Cup in the WORLD!

Maybe this is silly, but I have this plastic cup that I absolutely love!

This is MY designated cup and everyone knows not to use it. I drink everything out of this special cup EXCEPT for milk (that must be in a GLASS glass lol.)

I just love everything about this cup. It holds exactly the right amount of drink, it’s a nice shape (round, slightly tapered) and has a super cute design on it. All in all I love my cup :D

Pizza Bagel Bites!

I tried out this yummy idea from Amanda’s site a while back.  Look how delicious they turned out!! And so easy to make!

I made a few little changes including using one large piece of pepperoni instead of several little ones, marble cheese instead of mozzarella, ‘everything’ bagels instead of plain, and no ham, just big pieces of extra crispy bacon :)

Delicious Scones!

I tried my hand at making chocolate chip scones today! (recipe here)

Mine didn’t look quite right, but they were delicious anyway!

I also added Reese chips and butterscotch chips for something a little sweeter :)

I’m a chef

Well not exactly…

I made a no bake cherry cheesecake. It was awesome. I was extremely proud of myself.

 Original recipe here

I took the lazy way out and bought a pre made graham crust… but the recipe makes enough filling for two of the store bought crusts. It worked out fine though! I just put the left over mix into two bowls, topped with cherry pie filling and we had these as dessert the next night. (I suppose I could have just bought another graham crust but I decided to do this at like 12 am and didn’t feel like running to the 24hr grocery store!)

Also, please excuse my no name pie filling, cream cheese, and lemon juice! I’m a master chef on a budget, alright!

The ingredients:

One of the first things we got for our new apartment was this mix master, I feel like a real grown up when I use it lol!

Before the Cherry topping

The best part of making stuff is getting to lick the beaters!!

So it’s not perfect! But I made it all on my own!!

So very yummy!

Chilling and getting ready to be eaten!!
